Dental Implant CE Course Guide 2021

December 31, 2020

For general dentists interested in pursuing dental implant continuing education in 2021, there are lots of different learning options. By necessity, many meetings and in-person courses had to be canceled or rescheduled, but there are still plenty of dental implant CE courses being offered by trusted organizations, both in-person and online.

Our marketing clients often credit high-quality implant CE the key to their success in transitioning from a general dental practice to a focus on implant dentistry. We created this reference guide to help general dentists decide where to start.

If you’re a beginner, before you rush out and invest in expensive equipment like CBCT or guided surgery, or commit to a time-consuming continuum course, it’s best to test the water before you jump in the deep end. A great way to tell if you’re interested in diving deep into dental implant education and treatment is to start with a weekend course.

A short, focused dental implant CE workshop will allow you to gain the necessary skills and confidence to begin regularly treating level one implant cases in your practice. Getting comfortable treating these simple cases will really give you a feel for whether or not implant surgery really fires you up, and whether or not you want to invest in the training and equipment to take on complex cases.

Regardless of your skill level, or whether you’re looking for a continuum or workshop, we have a list of resources below for the 2 best ways to find dental implant CE courses in 2021:

  1. Find a course through a dental implant association.
  2. Find a course through a trusted dental implant CE provider.

This guide is meant to serve as a jumping-off point so that you may find the right fit for you and your educational needs. It is by no means comprehensive, there are many certified providers of dental implant continuing education that are not included in this post, and we encourage you to consider all options available to you.

Find a course through a dental implant association.
